Another enigmatic article from the Desert Sun. Remember the two missing hikers from Texas were supposedly saved by a backpack they found that belonged to a hiker who disappeared a year before. Search and Rescue just found his body. The mystery remains. He was hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and the Desert Sun makes it seem like the trail is right by the tram. As we in the hiking club know, where he was found is way out of the way by many miles. Did he have a map. He had to hike many miles in the wrong direction, ignoring trail signs and well used trails and crossing over a trail that was almost in sight of the upper tram station. The article says he had a diary. It would be interesting to read it.
