Sunday was a scheduled hike to John's Meadow up in the San Gorgornio Wilderness. This is always a great hike for flowers in the spring and most of the summer. I was very interested in seeing the avalanche damage to the Forsee Creek Crossing. I had heard that it had been wiped out. You can see by the pictures what it did.
Here are some other pictures taken with my new 28-135 IS lens.
There are going to be some great flowers later on. In the creek, I saw fire weed, cow parsnip, rangers buttons, and giant lupine all of which should be blooming in a few weeks.
